“My art practice focuses on my experiences and interaction with the natural world through my interpretation of colour, feelings and connection with my environment. As an expressionist artist, I seek to capture the essence of a time and place or things I find in nature such as flowers and mushrooms. Oils and watercolours are my favourite mediums and I love to encourage others to embrace their creativity through teaching skills based watercolour workshops.
My current workshop, Flowing Florals is lots of fun and a wonderful way to learn watercolour techniques in a relaxed and nurturing environment. You can find more details on my website. I look forward to bringing this workshop to Trisha’s Crafty Studio in July. Follow my Instagram account @cynthiacopleyfineart for upcoming dates and details. You can read more information about my current watercolour workshop on my website https://www.cynthiacopleyfineart.com.au/ “
“Hi I’m Kellie owner & chief artist @ Darker Wings Designs living in Ipswich Queensland. I have spent much of my life dabbling in all things art and craft. During uni I picked up art again as my self-care and therapeutic support. Art has been the one thing that I can completely lose myself in. Now painting, mono-printing and various other art types are a firm part of my weekly routine to assist in my mental wellbeing.
My current focus is mono-printing, acrylic painting and mixed media. I love sharing my passions with people from all levels. My teaching philosophy is everyone is an artist, they just have to let off the inner critic and let their inner child come out and play. My classes are full of laughs and quirky techniques. So join me at the Crafty Studio and Let’s Play! “
” I LOVE MINIATURES!
Hi, I’m Lachy, I’m a massive gaming nerd with a range of typical obsessions including ‘Dungeons & Dragons’, ‘Magic the Gathering’ and the ‘Fate Core System’.
With all these hobbies I’m constantly trying to further my games and gaming community through my crafts. I paint models for tabletops and am constantly making new player handouts for my favourite games.
Whilst I do not currently run workshops, I enjoy sharing my love of miniature painting with EPIC Ipswich’s & The Crafty Studio’s ‘EPIC Creative Day’, which takes place every 3rd Saturday of the month.”
“As a lot of local creatives already know me from having a store in Ipswich since early 2000, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge with everyone. You can simply come in-store and ask the most weirdest of question and we can work it out together. If you want an honest option on supplies you will get that at The Crafty Studio. We are not here just to sell you stuff but encourage you to create with your supplies you already own and inspire your creative journey in new and wonderful ways.
I have been creative since a young age with first learning Hand Embroidery from my Nana to ripping up my Golden Books and gluing them to the wall and colouring them in with Avon lipsticks. Yes my mother was so not impressed lol. But most of all I love to share my passion with others and grow together on our creative journey.”
“I am a local Mixed Media Artist living in Ipswich Queensland and proud Certified Trainer for Powertex. I have been involved in the arts and craft community since my teenage years and love discovering new art and craft mediums and incorporating them into my artwork. I am a textile and mixed media artist, predominantly in felting and embellishing. I also have a passion for furniture restoration, mosaics, gourd art, polymer clay, painting and any other art and craft form that fulfils my creative spirit.
Previously I was a tutor for Arttable, teaching glass mosaics, glass painting, macramé jewellery, and glass to glass mosaics. This experience was an absolute pleasure; teaching participants a new craft & watching them develop their skills & confidence fed my creative side & love of new techniques. So join me at The Crafty Studio for some creative inspirational workshops. Powertex classes are a supportive and encouraging environment that have something to offer everyone.“
