Cynthia
Artist and Teacher
My art practice focuses on my experiences and interaction with the natural world through my interpretation of colour, feelings and connection with my environment. As an expressionist artist, I seek to capture the essence of a time and place or things I find in nature such as flowers and mushrooms. Oils and watercolours are my favourite mediums and I love to encourage others to embrace their creativity through teaching skills based watercolour workshops.
My current workshop, Flowing Florals is lots of fun and a wonderful way to learn watercolour techniques in a relaxed and nurturing environment. You can find more details on my website. I look forward to bringing this workshop to Trisha’s Crafty Studio in July. Follow my Instagram account @cynthiacopleyfineart for upcoming dates and details. You can read more information about my current watercolour workshop on my website https://www.cynthiacopleyfineart.com.au/
Susan Taylor
Mixed Media Artist and Certified Powertex Teacher
Hi my name is Sue Taylor and I am a local Mixed Media Artist living in Ipswich Queensland and proud Certified Trainer for Powertex. I first was introduced to Powertex in 2005 by Evelyn at Buderim and in the last couple of years with Ashley from Western Australia. Powertex is an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, highly versatile, water-base hardener that is used worldwide by many artist and hobbyist. I have loved the development of the product over the years as it is compatible with paper, textile, leather, cardboard, fibreglass, wood, sand, Stone art and so much more. I thoroughly enjoy the tactile experience that Powertex products have to offer and teaching with this amazing product brings so much creative joy to everyone involved. Whether you are an experienced artist looking for a medium to compliment your work or a new avenue all together, maybe you are a creative soul looking for some inspiration, Powertex classes are a supportive and encouraging environment that have something to offer everyone.
I have been involved in the arts and craft community since my teenage years and love discovering new art and craft mediums and incorporating them into my art work. I am a textile and mixed media artist, predominantly in felting and embellishing. I also have a passion for furniture restoration, mosaics, gourd art, polymer clay, painting and any other art and craft form that fulfils my creative spirit. Previously I was a tutor for Arttable, teaching glass mosaics, glass painting, macramé jewellery, and glass to glass mosaics. This experience was an absolute pleasure; teaching participants a new craft & watching them develop their skills & confidence, fed my creative side & love of new techniques. So join me at The Crafty Studio for some creative inspirational workshops.
